The Bolivian Salt Flats are located near a number of magnificent natural lakes, including the beautiful Laguna Verde (Green Lake) and its adjacent twin, Laguna Blanca (White Lake). These two salt lakes can be found at the base of the Licancabur volcano, close to the Chilean border. Together, Laguna Verde and Laguna Blanca cover 1,700 hectares and they are divided by a narrow causeway.
